Travel Check list

Eutopia Journey Travel takes good care of all our travel needs.

Plan a Vet Visit  Before you leave, Ensure your pet is in good physical health before you travel. Pick up refills of any medications your pet will need while you are away. Are any concerns about the area to which you are traveling. Vaccination records.

If you are traveling  to another country, you will need a health certificate from the vet. Be sure to check what types of vaccinations your pet will need for the country you are going to. Bring an up-to-date record with you. Also check if there are any special requirements for either traveling into the country, or returning to your own.

You Should get an animal first aid kit will can save you an emergency visit to a vet far from home

Crate or carrier Crate Train your dog before going on trip. You will need it for the hotel room or plane, the kennel is also a safe way for your pet to travel. Please don't let your dog ride loose in the car. if you want him out while traveling them buy a harness for him. Get a crate with solid sides, plastic is best. It is the home away from home.

Food and water  Steel bowls are the best!

Bring your dog food. give the dog bottled water. many dogs get sick from water changes. This will help to prevent from getting sick or vomiting. Bring some pepto and converted rice this can help if they get loose stools. Just add the rice to the food.

Stain remover, cleaning supplies, Plastic bags,  Please clean up after your dog. Bring small bottle of  Vinegar it will neutralize vomit so it does not stain.

Grooming tools - including a comb and/or brush,  pet shampoo, and anything else your pet needs. Your active pet may end up needing a bit of a "touch-up" after a happy day hard at play!

Extra towels - for wiping those muddy paws and wet beards. Heavy quality baby wipes are great to have to clean beards fast.

Collar and leashes  Bring a regular length and also a training leash they are very long It will give your dog a chance to stretch out and have less anxiety while in car or room. I always bring an extra leash - just in case one of them breaks.

Toys and a Towel or bedding. Bring a couple of his favorite toys. Bring along something that smells like home so while you are not in the room he is not lonely.

Identification make sure your dog has all his tags on.

Phone number and address of a vet near where you're staying, you do not want to be caught of guard and ruin your trip.

Turn the TV on while you are not in the room! I also cover the crate so he can have some down time just as if we were sleeping. Otherwise they may think they have to be on guard while you are away. Do not forget to put the do not disturb sign on the door.
